We pride ourselves as an innovative and dynamic municipality striving to improve the quality of life for all our citizens. The City is located on Interstate 20, U.S. Highway 78 and Alabama Highway 77 with Logan Martin Lake bordering to the West.

The City prides itself on diversity.

We have five council districts of which two are held by minorities and two of the five districts have female representation. The city has had two minority police chiefs. Women have always played a significant role in our city government. The first woman was elected to the council in 1928. Since 1972 at least one woman has been on every council and in 2004 the majority of the council members were women. In addition, veterans are represented in almost every City department. We thank them for their courage, resilience, and sacrifice.

On May 5, 2014 Councilwoman Sadie Britt of Lincoln was elected by her municipal colleagues to serve as Vice President of the Alabama League of Municipalities for 2014-2015. She was elected and took office during the League's annual convention, which was held in Mobile, AL on May 3-6, 2014. In 2015, Councilwoman Britt became the first African American female president of the League of Municipalities since its inception in 1935.

continuing education is important to our mayor and council.

The Mayor and Council regularly attend a number of professional programs and conferences to aid and improve their ability to effectively manage and govern the City of Lincoln. These include, but are not limited to courses, meetings and conferences from the National League of Cities, and the Alabama League of Municipalities. The city is a member of the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission as well as the Talladega County Economic Development Authority.

The City was instrumental in recruiting Honda Manufacturing of Alabama to our fine city. Further, the City prepared the legislation creating the International Motorsports Hall of Fame at its inception. Lincoln is home to the exclusive Lincoln Harbor on Logan Martin Lake, a 900 unit lakeside residential development. With our many new subdivisions, there are housing styles to meet any market demand.

As a city of 7,500 residents, the marketplace population is 340,000 people within a 45 mile radius.

Our modern water and wastewater treatment plant has adequate capacity for more growth.

Land Availability & Development

The city's interstate exits have full infrastructure available with vacant land available for locating a new business. Additionally, land is also available for development on Alabama Highway 77, U.S. Highway 78, and other locations throughout the city.

There are numerous sites in the vicinity of the interstate available. In addition to interstate properties sites along U.S. Highway 78 and Alabama Highway 77 are also available. Some of these could be build to suit or land lease.


In 2000, following a search for sites across Alabama, Honda built a manufacturing plant in Lincoln. Since 2000, there have been a number of expansions and the plant now employs over 4,500 associates.

Industrial Park

The City Industrial Park consists of 40 acres from an original one hundred and sixty acres. Presently a new one hundred thousand square foot spec building has been constructed on twenty acres.

Lohr North America

We are pleased that Lohr North America is expanding operations in Lincoln at this time.


Within ten miles are two hospitals and the regional medical complexes of Anniston and Birmingham lie approximately 40 miles in either direction on Interstate 20.


Medical services are provided by two medical clinics, an optometrist, and a chiropractic clinic.


The city has three banks that offer a full range of banking services.


Logan Martin Lake, a 20,000 acre impoundment on the west side of the city offers many recreational opportunities.
