Some might wonder what would drive a person to seek 11 terms in public office. For Mayor Lew Watson, his interest in leading this small city started a long time ago — after he graduated from the University of Alabama and served four-plus years in the Army Corps of Engineers.

We are thrilled to be working alongside Alabama Veteran to bring Dovetail Landing, a veteran transitioning and wellness community, to Lincoln. This program will be designed to provide all the resources for returning veterans at one location, meaning not having to worry about where they will live or eat.
The City of Lincoln had the opportunity to host Lakefest in 2023 and initially, it sounded like a great idea for our community. We chose to skip this opportunity, but there are many more to come!
